Exterior Modifications & Maintenance
The Architectural Control section of the Declaration of Covenants (Article VIII) helps you plan improvements to your home and yard that are harmonious with the overall design of the neighborhood.
Unless the Covenants say otherwise, any change to the exterior of your home or yard must be approved by the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) before any work is done.
If you are planning to improve or change the exterior of your home or your yard, follow this simple process:
Step 1: Review Article VIII of the Declaration of Covenants. This section of the Covenants outline what would or would not be allowed in the neighborhood. We recommend that you review the Covenants before planning your improvement.
Step 2: Submit your Architectural Change Request (ACR). You can do this online or by downloading the form and sending it in by mail or e-mail. To ensure that your ACR isn’t returned, be sure to submit all of the requested information.
Step 3: Allow the Committee time to review your Architectural Change Request. This process can take up to 60 days, so plan ahead.
Step 4: Once approved, start your project.
Remember — following this process is easy, and can also save a lot of time and effort in the long run as unapproved changes to your property could result in fines or other enforcement action.
